St Peter's Sudbury by Allison Burke

St Peter's Sudbury

Interior of St Peter's redundant church in Sudbury, Suffolk. This church is in the care of the Churches Conservation Trust. Every parish in the country has a church. They are usually open to the public and free to enter. They are mini museums and, aside from their religious heritage, they show examples of art and craftsmanship that is centuries old. The Church of England 'give up' many churches a year that they no longer see as viable/sustainable as places of worship. The Churches Conservation Trust and other organisations dedicated to regenerating these buildings for future use and sustainability, while preserving their architectural beauty, provide a vital service to our cultural heritage.
