Lala Mustafa Pasha Mosque, Famagusta, Cyprus
Located int he incredible and sleepy city of Famagusta in Cyprus. the city was once a wealthy port town post crusades and was filled with Gothic architecture. consecrated in 1328, the cathedral was named after Saint Nicholas.
When the city fell from the Venetians to the Ottoman forces in 1571 the structure was converted into a mosque and renamed St. Sophia Mosque of Mağusa.
