Wheal Coates Tin mine

This photograph features the iconic ruins of the Wheal Coates Tin Mine in Cornwall, UK, set against a star filled-backdrop. Remains of Cornwall's tin mining past can be seen strewn around the County in the form of ruins such as the one photographed here. This particular mine shut down for good in 1913, and has since been slowly crumbling where it remains overlooking the North Atlantic Sea on St Agnes Headland.
