Natural History Museum, Oxford by Julie Marsh

Natural History Museum, Oxford

Construction of this beautiful building began in 1855, and the design was influenced by the critic John Ruskin. The stone columns to the first floor are each made of a different stone from the British Isles, and the beautiful stunning pillars contain natural forms to reflect the science world alongside the architecture.
There was so much to see in this amazing building but these columns were fascinating, and the light on them was beautiful.
