Pantheon, Rome by Lisa Graham

Pantheon, Rome

Light floods in through the oculus of the great dome of the Pantheon, Rome - a timeless and awe-inspiring sight. Completed in the time of Hadrian, the building's immense concrete dome and perfect proportions remain an incredible feat of architectural engineering. Both functional and symbolic, the oculus appears as a window to the heavens, which seems just as fitting today in its role as a church as it would have been when it was a temple to all the Roman gods.
