Hurst Castle, Milford-On-Sea (Lymington)
The castle was built by Henry VIII but has had a long and varied history. I had visited early one morning in the hope of catching a colourful sunrise but it was this part of the artillery fortress that caught my eye (and imagination).
The colours, textures and rusty patterns intrigued me and I found myself wondering how long this piece had been there. It also had an abstract quality that I very much enjoyed.
