Dunlough Castle is situated between the westernmost point of the Mizen Peninsula and the southern side of Three Castle Head (where the castle inspired the name of the headland) in West Cork, Ireland. Opinions differ on the century of the castle's construction, anytime between the 13th and early 16th centuries. Although the castle is not easy to find, one has to walk quite a distance over a hill, the first sight of the castle is fantastical, you feel as if you have landed in the middle of a film set. Dunlough Castle is a hidden gem and well worth a visit.
