Rushton Triangular Lodge by Mike D Kitchingman

Rushton Triangular Lodge

Rushton Triangular Lodge is a folly built by Sir Thomas Tresham.
Built of Limestone, it is G1 listed and all aspects of it are a product of three, centered in his belief in the holy trinity.
Everything, windows, gargoyles, dimensions, texts, are based on the number three or multiples thereof.
Over the door is Tresham's coat of arms with the inscription "Tres Testimonium Dant" translated as "The number three (or Tresham) bears witness". As i walk around it, nothing seems as it should, threes don't seem to marry with a mind accustomed to fours.
