Elmdon Building, Birmingham Airport
The Elmdon Building (1938) at Birmingham Airport was the original terminal when it opened for public flights in the 1930s. Recently its future was uncertain, its condition was deteriorating, and it looked like demolition could be on the cards. Thankfully, in 2018 it was awarded grade II listed status. There are very few of these early airport structures left in the UK, so all that do remain, should be preserved.
