Rome by Thomas Southgate

I am an amateur photographer who enjoys capturing landscapes both natural and man made. This has led me to develop a particular interest in landscapes of historic and heritage significance.

I love to travel to different cities and try to capture their cultures and history through photography. One of my favourite things to do is to wander around a city, letting it lead me. In doing so I stumbled across a small area of Roman ruins within the city's Jewish Quarter. It was just as beautiful and grand in scale as anything within the Roman Forum, but it was almost hidden in this less visited part of Rome. A real gem of a find.
